Howard Wold, M.D.

Dr. Howard G. Wold has been serving the local area for 20 years. Dr. Wold received an undergraduate degree from the University of North Dakota and then graduated from the West Virginia University School of Medicine in 1977. Dr. Wold trained at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco, completing an Internal Medicine Residency, and a Hematology - Oncology fellowship. He remained in San Francisco and became Chief of Hematology - Oncology at LAMC and Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco before moving to Alexandria in January of 1989.

Dr. Wold is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the Louisiana and Rapides Parish Medical Societies, American Medical Association, American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology. He serves as the chairman of the Cancer Committee and Chairman of the Ethics Committee at Rapides Regional Medical Center. He has served as Medical Director for several hospice agencies. Since 2003 he has been recognized as one of "America's Top Physicians" by a national peer organization. Dr. Wold is married and has two adult children and five grandchildren. He is an active member of Calvary Baptist Church.
